Hi, I’m Lena Schibany, a Peruvian-Austrian multimedia artist based in Vienna!
I’m currently finishing my master’s degree in Realtime Art & Visual Effects at the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg. Over the last few years, my work has moved more and more into 3D, especially Houdini, Unreal Engine, simulations, materials and look development. My background in drawing, 2D animation, motion graphics and concept art still shapes the way I approach 3D. A setup can be technically interesting, but for me it also has to work as an image through lighting, composition, color and atmosphere.I’m drawn to projects with a strong visual direction: stylized 3D, experimental visuals, unusual materials or more subversive ideas. I enjoy working with procedural workflows and real-time tools, but also like being involved early in a project, when references, mood and direction are still being shaped.
