[.IDEA & PROCESS]

This was my first Blueprint-based game project in Unreal Engine 5.3. Created with the “Maze Generator” plugin by Lowkey Store, the game follows a cat trapped inside a labyrinth, trying to find a way out before the timer runs out. Along the way, the player has to avoid mysterious, seemingly delicious but poisonous treats while collecting helpful items to improve their score and chances of survival.
I developed the core gameplay systems in Blueprints, including a custom timer, score system, player interactions, and a set of buffs and debuffs. These included effects such as speed changes, score modifications, and gameplay penalties that made navigating the maze more unpredictable. The project combines a cute cat character with a strange, horror-inspired environment, creating an intentionally unsettling contrast between playful and grotesque elements.
The cat character was modeled in Maya and textured in Substance Painter. Through this project, I gained valuable experience with Blueprint scripting, gameplay logic, UI feedback, player interaction systems, and creating a small playable prototype from concept to completion.
Tools: Unreal Engine 5.3, Blueprints, Maze Generator by Lowkey Store, Maya, Substance Painter
